I first came across freeze dried candy at a small speciality sweet shop in the United States. At first, I thought it was a gimmick, candy that had somehow puffed up and gone crunchy.
Then I tasted it.
The texture was completely different to anything I’d tried before. Light, crisp, packed with flavour and strangely addictive. I knew immediately this was something South Africans had to experience for themselves.
So I brought it home.
